The Monroe Trust Artist Collective Presents,
COMMOTION | Contemporary Artworks by Borchert, Keeley, & Marc | Opening Reception Hosted by BHGRE Premier
Opening reception for COMMOTION | Contemporary Artworks by Borchert, Keeley, & JONNMARC is the third exhibit of the year showcasing at BHGRE Premier Galleria.
The hosted reception will feature a vivid variety of original art pieces, wine, light canapes provided by Crisp, and hosted intermission by comedic stand-up Michael Wolcott.
Jonn Marc, an artist who works across all media; food, fashion, performance, painting, and sculpture, often combines ideas from various fields. He works towards allowing his life to create the work in an “organically structured” way, believing art should be the byproduct of a life well lived. In this series COMMOTION, Jonn Marc explores the effects and consequences of a life filled with laughter.
Michelle Keeley, who began pursuing her creative interests during her teen years has grown to develop a passion and talent for the Zentangle. With a rich background of glass engraving, knitting, tatting, and embroidery, Keeley applies the Zentangle method to a variety of surfaces including glass, paper, ceramics, and canvas, resulting in various beautiful effects. Keeley not only creates art for pure pleasure, but uses her skills to teach private courses. Her technique and aesthetic has soothing applications for communities with pain management, concentration, and mental health issues.
Vian Shamounki Borchert is an award winning contemporary artist who has shown both internationally and nationally in many group and solo exhibitions. The National Gallery of Art in Amman, Jordan, and The Jerusalem Fund Gallery in Washington, DC have her work in their permanent collections . Vian is a graduate of the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Washington, DC, and posses a master web design degree. Vians expressionistic and abstracted art illustrates a poetic mood and thoughtful journey in the world of painting.
